Description:
Grubb fanned additional ten-foot English ivy panels against existing vines on the northern facade of the house. “Ivy gives an illusion of time,” he says. Four or five times a year it is trimmed to maintain a clean, crisp look. An unexpected bonus cropped up when birds began to nest in the ivy. “There must be at least 100 nests now, so you hear them chirping all day, especially in the morning.”
